The INCE Trilogy, Book One

D.S. Kirchen

Creative EnDEBers Publishing

The Circle of Power is comprised of five friends in their late twenties who share a common history of having been placed in the same institution as teenagers. As wards of the state, the Institute had taken control of their medical care and quite literally saved their lives. Today, they are a fiercely bonded family that stays in close quarters, as each struggles to be an individual in his or her own right. The fact that they have strange prosthetic implants in various places in their bodies, some of which seem to give them a literal boost in physical ability, is a topic that is rarely discussed. The fact that they are being tracked and monitored by the "Institute" all these years later eludes them. And the fact that they are pawns in a very sinister game could and very likely will destroy them.

Blood Moon Betrayed & a Blog Hop

In the spirit of Christmas, we have decided to join in one of the many holiday blog hops that are going on all over the internet. Hope you enjoy!

BTS Tours and Freya’s Bower are proud to present the Santa’s Little Helper Scavenger Hunt. 32 blogs have linked together to allow you to hunt for 32 different words that will be hidden in each post, so at the end of the hunt you will have 32 answers to plug into the rafflecopter. Please DO NOT leave your answers in the comment section. We want this to be fun for everyone, and not take the challenge out of the game. So this is how it works.

All the blogs listed below will post their game piece on their allotted date. You are looking for one word (related to Christmas or Sex) to plug into the rafflecopter as your answer.

For Example:
If you are on Close Encounters with the Night Kind, and find your word (clues will be provided for you in the banner) you log into the rafflecopter form and place your answer in the box marked Close Encounters of the Night Kind. Follow along the entire Scavenger Hunt and collect all 32 clues. We will be drawing for 4 $25 dollar Gift Certificates to Freya’s Bower. Happy Hunting!!!

Blood Moon Betrayed

Teresa D’ Amario

Wild Child Publishing

Sean left his pack, searching for an inner peace destroyed when his one daughter was shot and the other kidnapped and tortured.  Not to mention his  mate had left him.  He gave up his position as pack  leader and headed out to the woods. But when he found a woman being beaten by two humans, he is jolted by the realization she's his True mate.

Caden lives in fear, and at last her terror has caught up with her.  Her ex-husband has decided it's time for her to die.  Just as she's about to breathe her last, a man tells her everything is going to be okay.

But how can it be, when her ex-husband still wants her dead?

And once Sean brings her back to his home, secrets are revealed, and it seems no one is going to be okay.  For as the blood moon rises in the October sky, betrayal is in the wind, and upon it floats the scent of death.

Excerpt:

Dierdre was still beside him, her hands brushing Sean’s arm. He jerked back, but not before the female offered a grin.

“Keep your hands off my mate, you bitch.”

“He’s mine,” snarled the shewolf.

Caden shrugged, moving onto the balls of her feet. She considered dumping her heels, but decided they may just give her the advantage. The wolven female wore sensible, soft-soled shoes. The bitch’s kicks would be soft, though solid. Caden’s would hurt more, but might not knock her as far. But most never understood the power of a well-made stiletto. A well-placed heel could be as painful as a bullet.

“I don’t know what you think you’re getting out of this, but you’re going down. Here and now,” Caden taunted her, waiting for the first strike. Caden knew Dierdre was measuring her weaknesses, just as she watched Dierdre’s. Someone tossed the shewolf a branch. The wood was a foot longer than Caden’s cane, but was made of pine. Pine was one of the weakest woods there was. One good hit, and it would break.

Dierdre charged. She swung her branch, and Caden countered. The thrust was powerful, and Caden’s arms shuddered beneath the power of the strike. Bark flew from the female’s staff, showering Caden, with bits falling toward her eyes. She grunted, blinking away the debris, and holding the shewolf back.

About The Author:

Born in Atlanta, the daughter of an Army Soldier during the early stages of the Viet Nam war, I spent my childhood traveling from state to state, finally ending up overseas in Germany where I graduated high school six months early.

My writing career however began as a young Airman in the Air Force, writing monthly articles for the weekly base paper.  The articles ranged from climatological data to full center fold articles on the destructive forces of hurricanes.  As I increased in rank, my writing changed to more technological instruction, including such works as  WSR-88D Doppler Radar Data Interpretation Guide for North Carolina Stations, and Station Operating Procedures.

But my early writing wasn’t limited only to the technological side.  I’ve written multiple dog training and behavior articles for canine websites such as Sonora Canine Freestyle, and also the Ask Blackjack column, a fun training column in the voice of my labrador retriever, then a young pup.

I’m married to a wonderful man named Doug. We live in North Carolina with our two dogs.
